Emma is both a registered psychologist and qualified social worker. She has a breadth of clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health, having worked in inpatient, outpatient and community-based mental health services and in an acute health setting; including the Statewide Child Inpatient Unit at Austin CAMHS, the Royal Children’s Hospital and Orygen Youth Health.

Emma has experience in the psychosocial assessment and treatment of a variety of mental health conditions including mood, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, first episode psychosis, borderline personality disorder, trauma and stress-related disorders, medical procedure-associated anxiety and trauma, medical-diagnosis-related adjustment and coping, treatment adherence and pain management, somatic symptom disorder, autism spectrum disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.

Emma also has experience undertaking learning and cognitive assessments and has a particular interest in working with girls who have an autism spectrum disorder. She has undertaken research in conjunction with the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, in the areas of adolescent somatic symptoms disorder and parental adjustment and coping following a paediatric brain tumour diagnosis.

Appointments with Emma are available on Wednesdays and Fridays, between 9.00am and 5.00pm. Emma is available for Telehealth and phone consultations during the current period of COVID-19 social distancing restrictions.

Emma is registered with Medicare, and whilst she is not registered with NDIA, she can see individuals who have self-managed funds.
